An Enduring Power of Attorney is a legal document that can be created by you (the Donor) during your life when your are in good mental health.   It allows another, specifically appointed, person called the Attorney to take actions on your behalf in the event that you are no longer fully mentally capable of making decisions for yourself.

Personal care decisions may include deciding where and with whom you will live, medical assistance, financial decisions including dealing with your property matters. The procedure for executing the Enduring Power of Attorney is complex.  It involves the transfer of considerable powers from you to another person (in the event of you becoming unable to manage your own affairs at any time in the future).  The procedure requires the involvement of a doctor and solicitor.

As with our other areas of practice our insight and experience will help you to achieve the best value option for your business and ensure a smooth and trouble free transaction. We agree all costs at the outset.  You can read more about an Enduring Power of Attorney by visiting the Law Society of Ireland page
